Caffetteria Orefici

Located on the charming Via del Prione in La Spezia, Caffetteria Orefici is not just a cafe; it’s a slice of Italian culture where every visit feels like a warm embrace. This delightful spot is a haven for coffee lovers and casual brunchers alike, boasting an inviting atmosphere that’s perfectly suited for leisurely morning gatherings or quick coffee breaks in between explorations of the picturesque local surroundings.

As you step inside, you are greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee that wafts through the air, seamlessly blended with the sweet scent of baked goods. The warm and friendly staff, often noted in reviews, create a welcoming vibe that encourages both locals and travelers to linger a bit longer. At the heart of their menu lies the famous Chocolate Cornetti—a must-try that one customer, Adrian Siri, describes as “to die for.” These flaky pastries are a perfect companion to their exceptional coffee selections.

Speaking of coffee, Caffetteria Orefici serves a variety of brews that have garnered rave reviews. Patrons like Thanasis Zisos laud the cappuccino for its creamy richness that eliminates the need for sugar, while Natalia Pera emphasizes their lactose-free option as one of the best cappuccinos she’s had in Italy. For those who enjoy a variety of flavors, their long list of sweet coffee options, coupled with delicious pastries, makes for a delightful experience. Moreover, the prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent value for those accustomed to pricier coffee shops abroad.

Caffetteria Orefici does more than just serve coffee and pastries; it fosters a sense of community. The story of Adrian Siri, who left his iPad behind only to have it safely returned by the attentive staff, reflects the genuine care and compassion found at this establishment. It's these small acts of kindness that enhance the overall experience, making customers feel valued and appreciated.

For a truly authentic Italian breakfast, consider pairing your drink with a delicious croissant or perhaps a mini pizza or cannoli, as noted by Ricardo Albuquerque, who found satisfaction in both light and savory offerings. The tranquil atmosphere, created by the harmonious blend of gentle conversations and the clinking of cups, adds to the overall allure of this cozy corner of La Spezia.

If you're exploring La Spezia, visiting Caffetteria Orefici is not just a stop for a quick caffeine fix—it’s a chance to savor Italian culture in its delicious form. Whether you’re a local or passing through, make sure to add this cafe to your itinerary for an experience that delights the senses and warms the heart.

Absolutely amazing cafe. The Chocolate cornetti are to die for and the coffee is good! Prices are also very fair. I would like to thank the lady working there (not sure if she was the owner), who found and kept safe, my ipad, which i had left behind and returned two days later to retrieve it. I can't express how grateful I am to her. She is a good soul and this cafe feels so warm and welcoming because of her. (The fresh cornetti are amazing though, really. You must try them!) Grazie Mille

The definition of a classic Italian breakfast. A cappuccino, so creamy, rich, and flavourful that it requires no sugar or any other additives. The croissant was also delicious.

One of the best cappuccinos I had in Italy (lactose free option). Just delicious!

Coffee is okay, not great. We also tried a mini-pizza and cannoli and it was good.

Good espresso, decent price. They also have a long list of sweet coffee, with chocolate, crema etc.

To my opinion the best cappucino I have had in Italy during my trip-a light, airy and creamy foam with a slight bitterness. I had a set that included coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, and a croissant with cream - simply excellent, and the atmosphere of tranquility and seclusion inside is also very valuable.

Really nice authentic little café. Really good coffee (velvety cappuccino) and really good chocolate croissants. Most people coming here in the morning seem to be locals which is always a good sign. Very good price for someone who's used to paying £4+ for a cup of average coffee in the UK.
